I believe you do also you have to be about 25 and over but check it out maybe it has changed...

The Peace Corps strongly recommends that you have a college degree to serve overseas. You can also have an AA degree and 5 years of experience in the field in which you want to serve. In rare cases, you can volunteer without a degree, but you need about 10 years of experience in the field in which you want to serve, and usually the only fields you can serve in are agricultural extension and similar fields. Also, you must be at least 18 and an American citizen to serve.

You need to have a degree, or a huge amount of expertise in a particular field (agriculture, ICT4D, literacy program development, etc.).
