Do you need to buy gloves for freshman football?

Schools rarely give them out, but I would ask a coach. If they don't, here are the brand you want to buy. I have played all of these positions in the last couple of years, so here is what you want by position.

Lineman: NFL Lineman gloves.Preventss form getting swollen fingers and such.

Runningback/Linebacker: Under Armour has a few pairs of R/L gloves, I recommend all of them. They have some padding on the top, topreventt swollen fingers, and stick on the bottom for catching.

Wide Receiver/Defensive Back: Cutters. They are the best. With a pair of those, my 8 year old brother can catch one handed.

gloves?  sure, if you have terrible hands, fumble all the time, and can't catch a cold in snow.

depends on the school, id buy my own cuz at most there 35 bucks but atleast u'd have your own not hand me downs and they'd be fresh so they would have more stick to them

if you wanted gloves you might want to go out and buy because I'm a 9th grade freshman playing JV and I got my own (they didn't give any out)
