Do you need to eat right to lose belly fat?

I worked 5x a week and do abs each of those days plus cardio. but i was wondering if need to eat right in order to get a six pack. i mean i dont eat like junk all the time but do i need to eat super healthy with my workout schedule or will it still come over a couple months? i mean i just need to lose about 20 lbs and im good but its mostly in the stomach / sides. and im a 17 year old male if it matters but i doubt it.

  1. There are certain foods that can help.

    Eggs (with yolks) are excellent.

    A little dark chocolate (yes I'm serious!)

    Green Tea

    Various beans

    Lean Meat


  2. you need to lose some of your overall body fat. take your weight and multiply it by 11 then subtract it by 500 and you have how many calories you'll need to lose weight. people who do a food journal are 3 times more likely to lose more weight. then add some exercise and in about a month you'll see amazing results and  a flatter stomach

  3. You can't spot target weight loss. You can build up the muscle in certain areas but you can't lose weight in only certain areas; for example you can't lose weight in your stomach by doing sit ups etc. You need to shed your overall body weight to be able to see those abs you are working on and the best way to do that is to eat healthy, decrease your calorie intake and by doing weight loss activities such as cardio excerises, things that make you burn fat and sweat.
