  1. No, you dont.


  2. No permit is/was required and I have stayed overnight without a problem several times in the last few years,but I haven't been there in over a year so things may have changed. We used to bring a tent and stay on Isla Grande at a beautiful beach called Playa la Punta then catch the boat to Isla Mamey to surf or dive.

    Do you have friends on the island? Are you a surfer?
