I bought some prescription sunglasses and they are supposed to have the same prescription in them as my glasses but the prescription sunglasses give me a headache and my depth perception is way off in them...is this normal? Do I just need to get used to them?

  1. Sunglasses often are more 'wrapped' or curved than regular glasses - this can cause problems similar to those you described for many people, even sometimes without prescription. If you have tried them for a couple of weeks and it is no better then discuss it with your optometrist.

  2. No, you shouldn't have to get used to sunglasses, unless they are a very odd shape, or a radically different style.

I suggest you avoid wearing them and go back to your optomestrist and check it out.

    Good luck
