Do you need to glue on the window clips that mount the window to the window regulator when repacing it?

I am replacing a broken window regulator and window clip( attaches the window to the window regulator) and am wondering whether the clips ,that are originally glued to the window, need to be glued back on when replacing them and what type of adhesive is supposed to be used. I can't find any info on this anywhere.

Thanks!

  1. I would call the glass shop, for some of these can be replaced and many are part of the process when the glass was made. Due to safety I would check this out, so the glass does not fall into the door and break or cause harm to the one placing it inside the guide channel. Not knowing if it is power, or manual, or type of vehicle we are talking about. Makes research hard to give you a diffinite answer to the question.

  2. They make a special epoxy for this, see an auto glass shop for it.
