  1. No you don't.

Sometimes, flying with spectacles are permitted never mind laser surgery.

  2. 20/20 is not a requirement as long as you fly with contact lenses (you will need to carry spare eye glass on board) or you can fly with eye glasses. However, military pilots require uncorrected 20/20 vision. Note that you cannot be color blind for both military and commercial aviation. In India, I have seen some pilots flying Boeings with vision glasses.

  3. The previous posters aren't entirely correct, including the poster who holds an ATP certificate. Fact: Certain color blindness may be waiverable upon passing a light gun test, or any other test deemed appropriate, and conducted by a FSDO(Flight Standards District Office) representative. Fact:There are commercial pilots completely blind in one eye and have received waivers. This stringent waiver is called a SODA(Statement of Demonstrated Ability) and the ability to get one is dependent on the severity of the disqualifying condition. The requirements of vision, and all other medical requirements are located in 14 CFR Part 67. If you don't have a FAR/AIM book, go to www.faa.gov. The FAA website has a list of all of the FARs(Federal Aviation Regulations) If you have any further questions needing answered, call your nearest FSDO. They will be able to help you.
