  1. Well, a 360 nickname is a required element for the 360 space in general. BUT if you are having trouble getting a 360 image to display in Y/A, see my past answer here:

    http://answers.yahoo.com/question/index;...

    UPDATE:

Here are the typical steps for using your own image in Y/A:

First, create a 360 space at http://360.yahoo.com . While logged into a yahoo service (mail, answers, whatever), type 360.yahoo.com in your web browser's address field (or just type 360 in a Yahoo! toolbar). Start creating your 360 space from there. Click the BIG YELLOW "Get Started" BUTTON on the far right section of that page!

////After that, you can log in by by clicking on the teeny tiny "Sign-in" button on the upper left of the page. Then, the page refreshes and click on the teeny tiny "Yahoo 360 Home" link on the upper right of the page to get into the 360 space.////

Make sure a JPEG formatted photo (with .jpg, .jpeg, .jpe extension) under 5MB is saved to your hard drive.

    - Click your "My Page" link at the top

    - Click "Edit Profile Photos" over the empty picture frame

    - Click "Browse" and upload photo into an empty field. Then click one "use as primary" radio button on the right before saving.

You can't upload more than 4 profile pictures (this includes an avatar). Make sure that you are following the 360 Personal Photo guidelines here: http://help.yahoo.com/l/us/yahoo/360/gui... .

Then, come back to Yahoo! Answers. Click the "My Profile" link to the upper right of this Yahoo! Answers page, then click "Edit My Info" in the top left box on the Answers profile page. Scroll down to the image section and check the option of showing the 360 picture. Click Preview and then the OK button.

  2. The nickname is more for your privacy and it is required.

You can have the nickname because this is what yahoo wants if you want to keep your privacy.

But you can use your real name as your nickname. There are those that have done this.

When you set your page up, you can have it set so people can find you by your name or yahoo ID

And if you do not want your page to be easy for family and friends to find your page then you can set the nick name.

You can still post a photo

  3. Why not , that is my problem---as long as I dont hurt or bore any one why not? I dint ask you to read them...did I? So what is your problem?
