Do you need to have a yahoo email address or ID to become a member of a yahoo group?

I'm starting a yahoo group and some of the people that I will be inviting to join the group do not have yahoo email addresses and/or yahoo ID's of any kind.

Do they need them to join the group?

no, you do not need both- however not having a Yahoo ID will be e-mail members only. the ones w/o the ID's will not be able to have use of group features like files and such, but they will get e-mailed posts and be able to send posts to the group
