no, but you need a Yahoo account- then any e-mail address being used under that account will allow you to poll. members who have no yahoo account cant access the web features of a yahoo group due to being e-mail only users

When you’re only on the mailing list, you don’t get access to all the group's web features (Photos, Files, Links, Polls, Calendar.)

My answer is correct- you need a yahoo account to access the web features of the group, however at any time you can add any address to that account and here's how to do that for anyone who needs that info

go to this link- http://groups.yahoo.com/myprefs click add email address on top left- follow steps and confirm address.

then go to this link http://groups.yahoo.com/mygroups click edit my groups on the top left- locate group (if there's more than one) under the column Email Address click the arrow for the drop down box and select new address- click save changes

she doesn't know what she talking about..no you don't have to have a yahoo e-mail. I use google mail and i can answer polls in any group and have been for years. You have to try it your self..have the ppl on here dont know much..and what they do is copy some of other posting and just add there word to make it look and sound they did it to get points
