  1. Yes, you absolutely need a resume to get an agent. If you are younger than 10, you don't need to have much on it, but they expect you to be well trained, currently in an acting class, and have at least a little stage and auditioning experience. Remember, Agents are in the business of representing professional actors that can help them pay their bills via the 10% commission they recieve when you work. Get into class and start auditioning now, then when the opportunity for representation comes along, you'll be prepaired. Best of luck!

  2. honestly, i'm not sure, but why wouldn't they? every place that hires you for a job, whether acting or cleaning toliets or flipping burgers or sellig stock, requires proof that you either have the education or prior training in whatever job they are hiring you for. agents are no different. they may be casting you primarily on your appearence, but a resume may offer info that your pic won't say. for example, i am a trained actor comabatant...you won't get that info from my picture but my resume states this. if you don't have experience, i.e. minimal experience and are worried that it's not enough for a resume, don't...you have to start somewhere. put ANY kind of experience where you have used your appearence to do something or spoke in front of people...it's still experience.
