  1. lol,I actually worked for a carpenter WHO COULDN'T READ !

  2. A carpenter needs to be able to think clearly when approaching a new problem on his own. However, many carpenters work from drawings prepared by other professionals, such as architects or interior designers. Usually, a knowledge of addition and subtraction of fractions is all that is required for mathematics. Of course, division and multiplication help when calculating out square footage of siding or flooring for pricing. Sometimes, it is necessary to know trigonometry for calculating angles, but this is not usually necessary. No, carpentry is not considered a branch of engineering. A knowledge of physics is not necessary for carpentry. The links should help with further information.

  3. The carpenter is just one of the people that do what an architect or engineer design. They have no input on a design and this not a branch of engineering.
