  1. Not necessary. Not call for or required. Since the car is the same size and weight practically the as before. Adding a little size and weight from the increase tire size from 16 to 22 is hardly any difference in weight. It probably adds only 100lbs more to the car's overall weight. Your fine with the brakes you have right now as long as they are working fine.

  2. No

  3. Very simple answer, NO you don't.

  4. I would recommend it since you will be trying  to stop a heavier load but most people dont care and just go for the looks, remember safety first.

It has been proven that a gradual change in braking performance and handling stability would be observed when a larger diameter tire is mounted on the any vehicle also the size and the weight will be alot more than 100 pounds....

  5. No you don't have to upgrade your brakes because the wheel goes on top of the hub which houses the braking system protecting it so no matter the size of the wheel the brakes would be effective. If you upgrade your engine on the other hand to a higher power one then you will need to upgrade the braking system to be able to stop the vehicle at its higher velocity.
