Do you need xbox live gold memebership to go to the marketplace?

I need to update the madden nfl 09 rosters but i dont have gold anymore. I have xbox live silver. Can i still go to the marketplace and update the rosters?

  2. Yup, you only need the free silver membership. The Gold membership allows you to play xbox live enabled games online. You need an internet connection for both though. I hope this helped.
