Yes you need the card that you paid for the tickets with, and all fast ticket machines are chip and pin so you will need your pin number when you go to the fast ticket machine, if you have any problems with tickets remember to go to the ticket office to get them sorted as some train companies wont allow you on the train even if you have a booking reference number, and i have come across many who do.

You should have the card with you that you used to order the ticket. My recollection of the one time I used this facility was that the tickets were delivered once I inserted my card into the fast ticket machine, without my doing anything.
