Question:

Do you notice that Eastern Europeans kinda have Asian features?

Slightly slanted eyes, jet black hair, light to medium porcelain skin. You can tell that they look slightly different from their Western and Central European counterparts. Can someone please explain to me how these features came about in Eastern Europeans?

  1. My husband is Hungarian and we live in Hungary.

I don't see the slanted eyes very often here although my husband and his sister have them and high cheeckbones.

my father was born in the Ukraine and had the fair white skin with jet black eyes and hair, high cheeckbones but the shape of his eyes was not slanted.

They do have some nice looking people over here.

They say they came from Asia way back when.

  2. Migration and integration of different races

  3. and the fact that they don't have much fat

  4. Imagine continents as colours. The way you're thinking, Europe is red and Asia is blue, with the red people looking THIS way and the blue people looking different. There is no "border" where all of a sudden the people just look different, it doesn't work like that.

Imagine Europe as red, Asia as blue again - but the closer you get to the middle there's a purple colour. There's a blend of two different peoples and Eastern Europeans are halfway between both. The further east you go (i.e. countries like Turkmenistan, Uzbekistan, Kazakhstan, etc.), the more Asian the people look, even though these countries lie in Europe. The further west you go (i.e. countries like Czech), the more Western the people look. It's a simple matter of where people have settled over the years.

It's like the further south you go from Europe too - there isn't this white/black border. Native people in England are white, with mostly blue and brown eyes. In France they are also white, with many blue eyes. In the south of France, pressing into Spain they are slightly more tanned with more brown eyes. In the south of Spain the people are very tanned and almost everyone has brown eyes. As you press into North Africa the people are even more tanned, yet not black (think countries like Tunisia and Egypt).

    I think.

  5. They actually don't

  6. Mostly they dont...

  7. I do. Some Eastern Europeans have Mongoloid blood in them which makes them look Asian. The most noticeable feature that stands out amongst European with Mongoloid blood is their eyes, it is slightly slanted. Also, the Europeans with these type of features also tend to have jet black hair like the Asians.

  8. do u mean Kazakhstan by saying eastern europe?coz most russian polish etc people r blondish not black-haired...

  9. Yes, I've noticed.  But also they often have blonde hair with just enough Asian genes to give higher cheekbones and narrower eyes.  There is stunning beauty in Eastern European "jeans".

  10. Both continents are right next to each other, so they probably cross bred at some point/time. It makes sense to me.

  11. Because of mixed ancestry with Turkic-Mongol peoples from Asia

  12. uhm....no they dont
