Do you or someone you know work at Chico's?

My sister worked there and hated it.  She worked at 2 different stores.  The managers were older women, but had weird problems, like she was on commission and they made her come in and clean the bathrooms.  Also, she said the customers were - again older women - and they were usually completely self absorbed, rude, and impossible to please or deal with.  They also would change her hours all the time - sometimes she'd have to stay til midnight and close, then she'd be scheduled to come in and open early in the morning.  They didn't care when she would eat or sleep - just be there to be pushed around by the managers and customers.  My sister is a responsible person (never called in sick once).  One time she complained about another employee who kept "stealing" her customers and ringing them up taking her commission - but the manager liked the "thief" better, so cut my sisters hours!  It was the same at both stores so must be the way the company is run.

I worked at a Chico's other store White House Black Market. I would not at all count on the commission to supplement your income- it's very hard to get any big sales and you only get commission on the big sales.
