I love the idea of an Automatic Motorcycle and the ease of not having to clutch all the time .The Bikes are low and that to appeals to me being that I am only a 27 inch inseam and there seats are 24 inches high from the ground .The Bikes have a great stylish look and they are lightweight that also appeals to me being I am a woman .I was just wanting to hear from anyone that has information on how they ride ,how they withstand the test of time and miles stuff like that. Do you recommend them,What have you heard about them? I am excited about buying my first Bike and I want to make a good solid purchase with my money and know I am getting my moneys worth. I know that the company has only been making these bikes for five years . I have found one made by Qlink but it comes in just one style and it's not very appealing to me .

  1. automatics take all the fun out of riding.... regardles if it is a motorcycle, 4x4 jeep, or a sports car

and ridley does makes more than one style....

  2. A scooter ?

I will have to look it up on the net.

I am a little too big for a scooter !

    6'-1' and 240 Lbs

  3. I checked out the site, just for kicks and giggles. Do you realize how heavy these bikes are? 738cc and  760 pounds running weight. My bike has twice the engine, and weighes less straight out of the factory (bags, sissy-bar, windscreen). The price is also prohibitive: With the exception of the standard, at about 14.4K, the other models were more expensive than my Softail Deuce.Frankly, spending that much money on a first bike makes very little sense - even if you aren't considering you have to hold the dang thing up.

Learn to shift. It's not that hard. I learned to do it when seven. Take a Motorcycle Safety course, find a bike that fits your profile. That much weight and the front fork extension will make the Ridley less than the ideal first bike.

  4. I have never seen one, most will not pay the price. I have come across a shifting system that will fit any bike and does not use air. Look up

Pingle button shifters. If it is just the low seat heigth you might want to look at Kymco Venox and Hyosung GV250. THese are to quaility rides with very low seats. and the same style. They    will run on the  highway with out problems and carrry two people.

  5. I spoke to a Ridley dealer once. He told me they were marketed towards people with money who don't intend on riding much so they don't feel the need to learn how to operate a clutch.

Just learn to shift. It's easier on a bike than a car. That will also open you up to a wide variety of bikes to choose from. Why limit yourself to just Ridley?  The trike looks kind of cool but the rest don't do it for me. I'll stick to my Electra Glide
