Do you own your own business, what kind of business to you run?

I am trying to do something at home since I work f/t in NY city I work 1230p to 9p . I was thinking of some type of business (website) that people can order stuff and that night i can come home send over to another company and they can drop ship to customers.

Any ideas, any suggestions on what company I can get started with to produce more income... thank you

Yes I own by own business and run it out of my home. I have a home based business in the telecommunications industry for seven years now.

Reading through your detailed message and your work schedule that you implicated, I just wanted to let you know that having a home based business you can choose the hours you want to work.  Most people who start a business have full time jobs or they go to school full time and they work their business around their schedules.  That's the point of having a home based business is the opportunity to make what you want, build a successful business around your schedules.  Once your income level in your business meets what you feel comfortable with, then you can put down your travel career, if you desired to as you stated you wanted to do.  

You asked for suggestions on what company. I suggest you lookin into an industry where you have a residual income base as well as other income coming into from your business. What I mean by that is get involved in a business that has a billing cycle in which you make a cut of every single month people pay their bills.  One example is in the industry that I am in.  Telecommunications.  You save people money on services that they are already using and paying for or offer people services that they don't have.  Once you have helped someone on an existing service or put someone on a new service, every single month these people pay their bills, you make a percentage of.  Month after month.  That's just one way you can make a living in the telecommunications industry.  You can market off line or by web site local and long distance telephone services, Internet services, digital and video phone services, Satellite TV as well as all major cellular phone providers such as Verizon, T-Mobile, Sprint, AT&T, Altell, Nextel etc.  Many different ways you can run this type of home based business around your schedual.  I think the telecommunications industry is an incredible industry because it involves a product and a service that you don't have to worry about if you don't sale something one month, then you don't make any money.  You still have an income coming in through the various different companies that you provide services through.  To me that is true residual income.  Not having to rely on selling something every day to make what you need to survive on.

One telecommuncations company I suggest you look into is a 15 year old world wide company.  The largest direct selling telecommunications service provider in the world.  Donald Trump has endorsed this company, uses the product and is highly involved in the company as well.  They've been featured in several magazines like USA Today, Success, Fortune etc.  Inc 500 rated them the 22nd fastest growing company.

So that's my suggestion to you.

I have found a very simple and effective website that offers free tips to different legit ways to make money online.
