  1. you dont get financial aid for grad school period... you can get a scholarship or a loan... The government feeling like by the time you get to grad school you have a job.... a good paying job.... so they dont give out free money anymore(financial) unless its scholarships

  2. If your undergrad loans are federal loans and you're going full time to an accredited grad school, you can most likely defer your payments until after grad school. If your loans are private, ability to defer varies from lender to lender. Either way, the best idea is to contact your lender(s) and find out your options.

  3. You can pay it all back after when you have a job earning about a certain amount you pay it back depending on hwo much you earn year by year until it is all payed back.

  4. If your undergrad loans are the ones that were received from the federal government, like the Stafford loans, then yes, they will automatically go into deferral.  I went straight from undergrad to graduate school and I payed on my undergrad student loans for about 3 months and then the bills stopped showing up.  I called my loan place and they said my loans were in deferral until I was out of grad school.  Your school should automatically report that you are enrolled to various lenders.

As far as getting financial aid for grad school, just fill out the FAFSA like you did in undergrad.  Keep in mind that you can get more loans per year than in undergrad.  I believe the max is $18500 a year combined in different amounts of subsidized and unsubsidized loans.  These are issued from the federal government as well.  I got mine directly from the U.S. Dept of Education.

    I hope this helps.

Here is the FAFSA website also.
