Do you pay invoice price for a new PWC, waverunner, or haggle?

Looking to get my first brand new waverunner. Is it common and expected to haggle down the price at dealer as you would with a car? Or should I expect to pay the asking price?

If yes to haggle, how much? I know that depends on the price and the model. A new car you can get 5 - 15% off sticker, depending on price and model. Is it the same with a PWC?

  1. Never pay invoice price.  How much you get discounted  depends on your ability to haggle.  I would suggest working 2 or 3 dealers against each other to get the lowest price.  Also check on the dealers reputation for carrying out warranty work and service after the sale.  Sometimes the lowest price is not the best deal, if the dealer is poor on service.

  2. Haggle like there is no tomorrow.

The boat industry is going to be flat this summer due to gas prices and dealers are looking to move inventory.

Go lowball, all they can do is say "no"

Walk away if you have to, and find another dealer who will work with you.
