  1. HD's are better, but I think blue rays will win in the end, better marketing and there can only be one. Warner Bros has already decided to go with blue-ray exclusivly.

  2. hd-dvd is cheaper, but blu-ray looks better (you'll need a really big TV to observe this though)

Also, it seems like blu-ray is taking the lead (more players + movies sold SO FAR) vs. HD-dvd.

  3. I have both (use a dual format player) and I prefer HD DVD. Unlike Blu-ray, HD DVD have a finished technology and people don't have to worry about buying a new player like when Blu-ray releases the new version 2.0 profile new movies may not even work at all on older blu-ray players.....never have to worry abou that with HD DVD.

  4. Blu-ray #1. Why? Cuz I have a Playstation  3 and I don't want my hardware or software to be obsolete.

Blue Ray is the new VHS/DVD and HD is the new Beta MAX. Bye Bye HD.

  5. I have a PS3 and love Blu-Ray. The Best looking movies I have on Blu-Ray are 3:10 to Yuma, Superbad and Rocky Balboa. I love the smart menus, and the picture. I always watch the trailer on Blu-ray. I haven't seen a HD-DVD, but from what my instructors tell me, is that HD-DVD is more compressed. They told me if you compare 300 on each format you can really tell the difference. Plus my favorite studios are on Blu-Ray: Fox, WB, etc. So I prefer Blu-Ray.

  6. I have both - and they look and sound the same.

  7. i perfer hd dvd but blue ray is good 2

  8. HD DVD

  9. same as the vhs/beta war beta was supierior. i was told from a good source that blue ray disks are cheaper to manafacture / and the p**n industry also has a lot to say.
