Do you pick-up on secondhand books?

I find second-hand bookshops alive with energy. Like 100's of people quietly reading aloud.

Do you experience this - or any psychometry from old objects?

  1. Yes I had one sent to me from a friend that was second handed.. I dont see anything wrong in that. I was glad to get it..

Me? I love Old objects better than the new..

  2. Sometimes, not not always.

  3. As metaphysics principles go, anything that someone invested a lot of emotion and passion or focus into can potentially retain a trace or echo of that investment... books are easy to do that with, but I doubt the echo would be strong enough to classify as a fetish (article used with link direct enough to an individual as to use as a medium of reaching said individual - like the hair of someone being taken and used on a voodoo doll).

  4. funny enough i go to a scrap yard and through all the smashes and burnt out cars i feel it there, also if i lift something from the car, a key or a item, i feel it then, i find it a sad place to visit

  5. I don't know about energy but I like the atmosphere.I bring most of my books there for points but buy very few.I've seen people reading and don't like what they do with their fingers.

  6. I dont have many old books, that i have picked up on their energy, but i have been drawn to certain books, like being guided to answers id be searching for, and certain books would come along in strange ways.....

One thing i do come across alot with books, is when im thinking about something alot, without telling anyone, they will come across a book somewhere and feel the need to get it for me.....

One strange thing happened last year, ive never been into religion, nor bibles, and i had  curious thoughts about muslims and their religion, something i had been thinking about...Then my sister moved into a new house, when she saw something under a tree in the back yard...When she picked it up, it was a small leather cased muslim bible, and without any thought she picked it up and brought it over to me...I found that to be a strange coincidence, i still have it, and i do feel some sort of energy in it, it also had a love letter tucked away inside it, that a woman wrote to her lover, while he was in hospital...she writes..."you are the second one in my life with allah being the first that i worship"...its quite a touching letter, i often wonder what happened to them, and why was her bible thrown away or lost......

EDIT...Mr. P it happened again only yesterday....Years ago i watced the movie, out on a limb, but really didnt understand it, i was only in my teens i think, and the only thing i understood about it was, about the out of body experiences...But the rest lost me....From about a month ago, something has been willing me to go back to that movie and re watch it, as ill understand it this time, as ive moved forward in alot of spiritual ways.....Yesterday my sister likes to go into this shop, and i usually sit in the car and wait for her....But a got a really strong urge this time to go in with her...and guess what, the first book i looked at was "out on a limb....Soon as i started reading the first pages, it started making perfect sense straight away, and already started giving me answers, to what i had been searching for.....How ironic......

  7. I've never "heard " them..but at the library..I'd be drawn to certain books.

  8. Yes! I was worried it was just me. I'm not old enough to live alone so I live with my parents and we have a little "library" downstairs with some really old books (One my father got when he was four. One I got at a used bookstore, and later discovered it was published 66 years ago) and though I don't hear voices from them sometimes I just get... feelings. Like I'll touch one and feel laughter or tears, and sometimes just really strong concentration (mostly from my used Mythology books)
