Do you pick your own best answers or do you let it go into a vote?

I pick my own best answers. There is only once when it did go into a vote and that was when I was very new to yahoo answers.

I try to always pick my own best answers and try to be as fair as possible truly giving it to the most deserving.  Many times when you put one up for a vote, people can vote for their own answers and many times the one that gets it, didn't truly have the best answer.  Just isn't fair to someone who put in a lot of effort answering a question very thoroughly.

I pick my own because I can get a few points for it.
