In the midst of society

Everyone trying to be free

It’s available for you and me

Yet there are those too blind to see

Living on a chance some prayer some hope

Listen to the hype and swing on the rope

Running to fast slip on the soap

Trying to hide behind the dope

It’s all so clear in your face

You just can’t find your own space

Wishing you were in another place

Go under cover mix with the race

Step off the edge try to stop time

Turn the page see what you find

It’s all rapped up in the rhyme

Or maybe it’s all just in your mind

Never making it to the top ten

The mirror can never be your friend

Evil thoughts on the verge of sin

Cross your heart and do it again

Looking for that inner peace

Load your head feel the release

Falling through a hollow crease

Never knowing west from east

Leave the train at the station

Break free create a new relation

Make your own right situation

Forget about the devastation

Tilt your head up to the sun

Know you’re not the only one

It ain’t over until it’s done

Turn yourself to number one

Life can change in just an hour

Find inside your higher power

Come down from your mighty tower

Plant the seed to become the flower

Deep inside you’ll always know

That you have something to show

Not so fast now take it slow

Give yourself some room to grow

Write the words to your song

Fine the strength to move along

Don’t get lost out in the throng

You know you know right from wrong

Now stand tall upon the shore

Carry on forever more

You’re too bold to ignore

Make it count your final score

It may seem somewhat absurd

It might be a single word

Say it loud you will be heard

Now go and fly upon your bird
