Do you play Callaway irons?

Question

Just got fitted for a set of Callaway X-20's, but can't play them yet since we're in the dead of winter where I live. It's the first set of Callaway's I've ever owned. For the folks that do play Callaway's, I'm curious as to what you think about the Uniflex shaft that come standard with many of the models.

i play callaway x-18s 1/2 inch under standard with the uniflex shaft, i love these clubs. some people dislike the uniflex but the do the job for me

I have Callaway irons, but i have x100 shafts.  However i've had this 2iron in my bag for 5 years. It came with the uniflex shaft which doesnt fit my swing at all.  But I hit the club so good, I didnt think of changing. The softer flex lets me hit it a little higher and further. But its a decent shaft, I think it lies between reg. and stiff.

If you got fitted well, hopefully by a PGA Professional, I would go with the recommendations.

I play X with 6.5.

Personally, I would have waited until spring, so I could watch actual ball flight.  I hope that the "fitter" at least used a launch monitor.

HOPE YOUR NOT DISAPPOINTED WITH THEM. THEY ARE OKAY BUT I WOULD HAVE WENT WITH TITLISTS. I WORKED AT A RESORT THAT HAD GALLOWAY RENTAL CL US AND WE HAD ALOT OF TROUBLE WITH THE SHAFTS BREAKING AT THE HOSSEL. I SNAPPED A FEW MYSELF AND IT WAS NOT DUE TO ABUSE OR HITTING A ROOT, ETC. GALLOWAY WILL REPLACE THE SHAFT FOR FREE BUT YOU WILL HAVE TO PLAY WITHOUT THAT IRON FOR A WHILE AND PAY THE SHIPPING.

You are going to love the new X-20s.  I play the X-Tour forged irons and after struggling with them some last year I am glad I didn't get rid of them.  As usual it was not an equipment problem at all, but an alignment/setup issue and once I got that taken care of I pured those irons.  Mine have TruTemper S300 shafts though so can't advise on the Uniflex.  Reminds me of one of my pals who bought a Calloway driver when they first came out (circa 1990) and he asked the salesman about the shaft - "They only come with the Memphis 10 shaft" said the salesman, "but don't worry, this shaft adjusts to your swing".

I have Mizuno MP-60s and I really like them!  Good stick!
