Do you play bassoon?

Question

i play the bassoon im about a level 3 and i have been playing a lil over a year. i dont really know many other bassoon players so i would love to hear from you!

ps. any tips or advice?

I am a professional bassoonist living in the Western US. My best advice is to find the best teacher you can and take lessons. If you haven't taken private lessons before you don't understand how important it is. The bassoon is an extremely challenging instrument to play correctly, as it varies greatly from the other woodwinds.

Also, look into joining the International Double Reed Society (idrs.org). Student membership is fairly inexpensive and it will bring you into contact with hundreds of bassoon players around the world, all of whom are very helpful and enthusiastic about our instrument.

i played a for a little bit then i broke the reed :)

i dont ahve many tips, just play the lowest note and pretend your a boat :D
