  1. We play it every day.  My dogs are shelties, and herding dogs, and we have been playing that for years.  We have weather issues, so playing in the house is a common thing in our world.

  2. Yes, but I don't really have to "go hide" in order for mine to be confused and try to find me!  LOL!  I will just cover myself with a blanket or my face with a pillow and they go insane trying to "dig" me out and find me.  It's hilarious.  They aren't the smartest puppies in the world, but oh how they make me laugh!!!  :D

  3. Nope but I play "Find the food". My genius figured out Find the food means "Sniff, doggy, sniff! Sniff like your nose depended on it!" in one session. And he won't listen when I command anything else....

  4. Yes, my dog loves that game.  She especially loves to seek my niece.  One time my niece climbed into a large empty suitcase in her mom's room and my dog walked around the room sniffed the suitcase, looked on the bed then went back to the suitcase and started whining and trying to get inside the case, we couldn't believe she found her.  We feel that since she's a hunting dog that the game of hide and seek will help "satisfy" if you will, her hunting instinct to search and find and to help develop her skills.  Not that I would ever hunt with her but I think it is a fun mental game for her to play.

  5. YES I DO.....I HIDE AND HE ALWAYS LOOK FOR ME..AND ALL THE TIME I HIDE ,HE FOUND S ME..IT S A FUN GAME TO PLAY WITH A DOG!!

    OWN A LABRADOR

  6. he tells me to hid and I do..then he never comes and finds me..Im guessing I hide well!!

    he such a looser!

  7. I dont know if it's a hide & seek , But it's kinda like a Combo between , Hide & seek and It , lol Seriously , I mostly play that with Shadow and Bailey , they ''hide'' under tables , beds ect , And then when I find them , they RUN after me , ??? Wierd hey ? My husband SOOOO hates that ... FUR FUR FUR all around the house :)

Funny thing is , While we play 'Maggie and Alaska just sit there looking at us with that look '' WTF are you doing , calm down and sleep''

    Cute :)

  8. I'm a kid at heart, but my dog follows me too much to be able to play hide and seek.

However, we do play tag.  He runs past me, and if I touch him, he comes back and gets petted, and then we do it again.  He has never yet kept running if I touch him, so I think he understands tag.

  9. I sure do!! We go out in the woods and play too. She loves it and she's very good at it. I'll admit, it's fun for me too. The fun part is watching her try to find me. If I hide behind a tree or another object I can usually see her bunny hopping through the woods trying to see me. Eventually she will give up trying to see me and use her nose.

Now Riggs, my Golden, he could care less if I go missing. He sees his chance and takes the opportunity to steal my seat on the couch.

Actually I fostered a German Shepherd Dog some years ago. I had been in contact with a police officer in Ohio at the time and was telling him that I thought I had a candidate for him. He flew all the way here to see my dog. He had me go through basic obedience and give the dog commands etc. One of the last things we did was play hide and seek with him. We walked down to the park and Roy (police officer) told me to go hide. He sent the dog to find me and to my surprise, he did!! One of the proudest moments for me, Roy took him that day and he's currently a drug detection dog.

  10. Yes I do!  I run away and hide behind doors or counters where he can't see me and then I pop out and he chases me around the house until I hide again.

    :)

  11. All the time!  She gets ripping around the main floor, so I run upstairs and hide somewhere.  She comes looking for me, and you can tell she's being cautious, like she thinks I'm going to jump out.  The way her snuffling sounds, I burst out laughing and give myself away every time.

It's funny seeing what she remembers.  If one time I hide behind the bathroom door she will look there first the next time.  She always remembers the last spot I was hiding.

  12. My dog doesn't play hide and seek. he plays "go find it" (tell him to find mommy thats my mom for him lol and he will find her) i play hide and seek sometimes with a 5 year old girl that goes to my old church (haven't seen her in 2 weeks and she is sooooooooo cute! look at her!Wait a second!

  13. If I ever tried to do that, I wouldn't be able to hide without my dog following me and seeing where I am hiding. It actually sounds fun, I might try it but it probably won't work out too well
