Do you play in an orchestra?

I play violin so I was wondering how many string players there were out there? What do you play?

I play violin too!  I play in the school chamber orchestra, as well as 5 youth orchestras.  I had a solo with the local "pro" (they're good, but definitely not pro) orchestra.

I'm a professional bass player and teacher.  I love it.  I'm not a current member of an orchestra, but I am on the sub list for my local professional orchestra and play with them when they need a bassist.
