Do you pocket tips?

From Restaurants? I'm looking into being a waitress but want to know if when you get tips you pocket them or turn them in?

I think it depends on where you work.High end rest. most people pay with credit so you may get paid in your chex or at the end of the night.Cash tips are usually yours.You will have to tip out a % to bus and or bar.The better the place the higher the % cause your return is higher.When looking for a rest.to work at look at the menu $ and rules for staff.

while i go to restarants really often and people leave tips becuase they are paying the waitress. when people give you tips you keep it the bill goes to the manager and the tip goes to the waitress.
