Do you pour water on your cockatial?

with a water bottle is that okay? i pour cold water on her so she can cool down because of the heat but she doesn't like it i also give her bird baths time to time..

I wouldnt be using freezing cold water out of a fridge and just pouring it on them..you should try lukewarm water in a spray bottle and just gently spray them sometimes or give it a little tub of water thats not very deep.

No, u need to get a spray bottle and up to 2 times a week u spray them. u have to make a schedule for what days u give the the spritz. i go sundays and wendsdays. u have to give them a water tempure somewhere bewtween 98 and 101 degrees.you also have to clean there feet to so they dont get dirty. if u need more info contact me at [e-mail] or on aim and my screen name is kittenhearts4cat. No.  I  put  a  bowl  of  water  on  top  of  the  cage and  if  he  wants  to  cool  off  he  will  get  in  it  or  just  splash  water  on  his  face.
