Question:

Do you practice good mental hygiene here on YA?

The words that other people write are their thoughts. As we read their thoughts, we are being influenced by them. So, in a forum like Yahoo! Answers, where we are being subjugated to the individual thoughts of many thousands of different people (some of which are healthy and others which are not so healthy), do you think it's important to practice good mental hygiene?

In other words, do you have your own personal standards for what you read here? Will you only read posts that resonate with who you are? Or, do you open yourself up to any and every thought that crosses your path?

  1. I read the stuff that resonate with me. I don't answer every question I read. But I do read most of the answers on questions I look into.

I don't think anyone can read every question posted just due to the volume. So we all self edit in one way or the other what questions we look at based on what catches your attention. I don't know if that's mental hygiene or just human nature.

  2. I personally would never open anyone up to all my thoughts.

That would be worse than dieing by a hot fire poker impaling your chest!!!

I am very picky about the ?'s I choose to answer. (lets not forget the passion that continues to drip from my nose)
