While fancy restaurants can be nice, I do like buffets...if you don't like something, you can just get up and get something else...as often as you want.

  1. For me personally, it depends on my mood and whom I am with.  I prefer buffets when out with my kids and husband, yet prefer a restaurant (doesn't have to be fancy) when out with just my husband on some "date-time".  Restaurants offer a more relaxing atmosphere for anybody that works a lot or runs around filling plates for small children all day.  You get served and don't have to worry about running around filling your plate or waiting for somebody else to finish with what you're wanting from the buffet bar.  As mentioned before though, I do like buffets, they offer more variety and the ability to eat as much as you want until you're full in most cases.

  2. Depends on the mood, sometimes you just want to be casual and hang out and sometimes you want to dress up and have a  special night

  3. i would rather go to a buffet over a fancy restaurant any day =)

  4. I don't like really fancy restaurants, no fun. I don't much like buffets either, kind of gross. I prefer a good casual restaurant.

  5. Whenever there's a huge buffet, it's a major plus. Always a winner.  Locally, Ruby Tuesday's has an awesome buffet.

  6. fancy only because buffets gross me out with people not using the utensils that are supplied for each food, people picking at things with their hands and I don't know how long the food has been sitting there.

  7. Uhhmsz, for me thatsz kinduh hard, buh; iWould have tuh say..

    BUFFET !

  8. I really don't like those sneeze guards on the buffet lines.

  9. a huge buffet

    a lot of any food!

  10. to me it depends on the occasion. if it's supposed to be a special dinner to celebrate an achievement of some sort then i think a fancy restaurant would be better. if its just going out for whatever then i like the idea of a buffet(unless if you dont want to get up and serve yourself some people want to be served when they go out) with a buffet you can eat as much as you want  to of course you'll be full by the time you leave

  11. Fancy restraunt.

Buffets are nice once in awhile but it is also a waste of money if you do not eat much.  Lots of food is wasted in buffets and we have people that starve in this world. Retarded!

  12. if im really hungry and want to eat alot than a buffet that way i can eat as much as i want for an affordable price or the same price as a sit down resteraunt. if im not really hungry and want to eat alot than i perfer a sit down resteraunt liek ruby tuesdays apple bees etc.... xD

  13. Upscale restaurant for me.

  14. A buffet in a quiet restaurant would be heaven to me.

  15. Fancy restaurant, give me quality over quantity any day.

  16. i would rather go to a fancy restaurant for a special night, wouldn't mind the buffet specialy if you have kids

  17. Buffet for me.=)

  18. it depends.  if i want something nice i like fancy resturants but if i don't really care what i want to eat i usually go to a huge buffet.

    i like both.

  19. I like something in between, meaning fresh & well made food at a non-pretentious restaurant.  I don't like spending a lot of $ dining & then walking out on the pavement amongst the homeless. --Gives me a sickening feeling.

Also, a turn off about some upscale restaurants is often stark decor, too much white cloth. And, I like to focus on my friends & family & food, not getting dressed up, where you're participating in being seen & seeing others. I like things friendly & scrumptuous.

Also, when I go to chichi restaurants some of my friends go into mode where they feel compelled to give me a nuanced analysis of wine &  food. I want to experience it at a viceral level, not have an external monitor determining its merits.

So I like going to Mom & Pop places & family run ethnic specialty restaurants.  I avoid chains.

Buffets at weddings are often fun when the food's well made, but most restaurants serve greasey buffet food that's often of poor quality.  When it's good though, I love the choice & fun  involved. Sometimes buffets have a friendly community feeling  --especially when people don't waste the food or OD.

  20. Facny restaurant. I have a weird thing buffets. The thought of food sitting under a heat lamp behind a sneeze guard just grosses me out. The only place I have ever been able to stomach a buffet is in the nice hotels in Vegas. That is only because they have King crab legs and will actually cook your steaks semi rare. There's my two cents!

  21. I hate buffets...Germ Infested food..no thanks.
