Question:

Do you prefer asking personal health questions on here than asking your friends?

I have few queries that I've only been able to find answers for on here. I myself get embarrassed talking about periods to friends and I find it so much easier on here where no one knows who I am. Also, I wouldn't be comfortable with my friends knowing something that personal about me. I think girls would be a lot less worried about things if they just came on here and talked to other women who are probably going through the same things. Being a worried teenage girl I often find myself stressing over something thinking "Oh my God, is this normal?"

  1. i feel the same way. and also i started my period way later than my friends so im afraid they are gonna say something like "you started THAT late." lol. so yeah, ill just feel dumb if i say anything cuz they are so much more experienced about it.

  2. Definitely!!!

I told one of my friends (who is single with no kids by the way) that some of my hair had fallen out after I gave birth.  She looked at me like I was a freak and said "I've never heard of that happening before, I think you should go and see someone about that....."  I then got all worried and checked Yahoo answers and found out it is completely normal, and she was the freak having never heard of it.

So what I'm saying is sometimes friends are dumb asses who don't have the answer to everything.  YA is much better!!!!

  3. its better to keep it as personal as possible.

  4. I also prefer asking questions on here.  Friends and family are bias.  I like good honest answers.  The people on Yahoo Q & A aren't here to save your feelings but tell you the truth.
