Do you prefer big chain restaurants or little hole in the wall places to eat?

I like hole in the wall places, actually. I mean, it's nice to go to a big fancy place occasionally, but most hole in the walls have better food, service, etc.

I agree. I think small restaurants have better service. Plus, there not usually as crowded, so it doesn't take as long to get your food.

large chains have a set menu of tried and true.  But to find the truly exceptional and stimulating, you will have to follow your nose.  it will usually lead to some independent bistro or fine food restaurant with a chef who is not afraid to try something fabulous.

large chains rarely get awards.

i agree with you ,the small restaurants have better food and service. the food is more like moms home cooking .

I like both..  depends on what I want to eat and if I know the hole in the wall well enough to know it is worth going to..

Yes those little places have their own home cooked recepes the service is better usually cheaper and they get to know you by name
