Do you prefer buying (having) a magazine or reading it online?

Hi! I'm graphic design student and currently doing a research for my dissertation.

I'd like to know whether you like reading a magazine online, downloading its copy or you prefer to buy an actual, paper version of it . Reasons why.

I prefer to get a subscription because it's cheaper, I love to take something to read when I'm traveling so its easy for me to buy them!

id rather read it online..I usually read a magazine and when im done it just collects dust...I recently started going green so I just figure magazines are kind of a waste of trees and money. I just read a friends or go to barnes and noble and read them now. You wont believe how many magazines Ive had to recycle...hehe

i like to purchase.  why? because sometimes you get all those little bonuses like the makeup samples, perfume samples, some come with cd samples, etc.

if you go online, you get to click on links and such, but then you get a bunch of junk mail, and have to then go and unsubscribe to all those links just because you wanted to see what they were offering.  too much hassle that way.  i prefer to have it in hand, and keep my inbox clear.

Pros for buying - for later use

                         hard copy

                         can scan it

                         much easier to read

Pros for Online - already on a computer

                         doesn't waste paper

                         nothing to carry around

                         can access it from anywhere

buying it offline is the good way!, cos u can keep the magazine whenever you wanted to... so yeh i prefer buying it instead of reading it online because it changes every weekly and if u miss it ur unlucky!!

buy/having it so I can read it in the bathroom ;). I don't have a laptop so I'd have to bring my desktop in there and I don't think that would be good for my computer

I like to buy a paper version of it. That way I can refer to it anytime I want as opposed to firing up the computer everytime I want to read it.

Reading online is easier and cheaper so is standing in the magazine/newpaper isle and reading them off the rack is good to. Why buy when you can browse, save a tree!

I like holding the magazine in my hands.  I like being able to take the magazine along with me to read anywhere.  I also enjoy reading in bed.  I do read a lot online, but I prefer holding a book or magazine in my hands to reading off a screen.  It's just more comfortable.

reading. these days alot of magazines are full of stuff im not interested in. except for time magazine. but the internet has so much to offer and its for free.
