Do you prefer candles or oil-lamps for non-electric lighting?

Defiantly candles, I find that oil lamps give of a weird smell from the burning oil.

candles...but i use both..  I like candles better because they smell better

Kerosene lamps give off a better light and i love to read by them at night. I also don't worry as much about the flame being blown out by wind or anything like with the candle.

Candles for sure!  I make them, so I have enough on hand at any given time to light the entire house.  LOL.
