mountain like the Sierra Nevadas.  the beautiful craggy peaks.  hot springs.  the wilderness. Lake Tahoe.  Yosemite.  Mono Lake.  Owen dry lake which at one time had ocean ships crossing it but is now dry because of L.A.water needs.  which is an amazing thought.  Death Valley.
