  1. explain my answer,thank you.,.

  2. Hard -Better grip

    Less deflection

    Less grooming

  3. Before you select your choice on tip, let me tell you all I know about this....  There is many kind of tips in market now...

    One piece and Layered tips are the only types of tip available... Layered tips like Moori which is made in Japan are multiple sheets of pig skin compress together while one-piece tip which is still common until now are made with one sheet of pig skin.. ...

    The hardness of tip depends on how much compression was applied on a tip during production...Layered tip for example was compress to make soft, medium and hard tips....

    anyway, about your question::

    I prefer medium from Moori ( Japan Made tip ) which is Layered because medium  hardness of tip tend to hold enough chalk while you can control your shot on your best performance.....softer tips hold chalk longer but deforms much easier while harder tips hold shape longer but holds chalk much fewer....

    Hard tips are use mostly on Break Cues... Predator BK2 for example has hard tip made in phenolic with carbon plate....this hardness gives much power for breaking.

    Softer tips are use on playing cues...lesser power and control on cue ball.

  4. I prefer the feel and playability of hard tips.

  5. A soft tip will give more grip,so if you play a s***w shot,it'l s***w back better.

    A hard tip will last longer. Better for breaking.

    A medium tip is a good trade off if you only use one cue (no break cue).

    In english pool where the balls are smaller,a soft tip is best for every shot (including the break). There's no need for a seperate break cue.
