Anthony, My oldest son name is Anthony, and its always been a favorite name of mine, and I have always corrected anyone that called him Tony, Since Tony doesn't even seem like to me it should be a nickname for Anthony. Anthony is a nice strong name that's been around for a long time.

i think both are just fine. The name Anthony be the name I would perfer, but Tony just fine with me also.

As a given name, definitely Anthony. But then I'd probably call the kid Tony!

But I'm Australian, we give everyone nicknames. :-)
