rich and miserable is usually better than poor and happy and rich is always better than poor. You can't help anyone, including yourself,  when you are poor. You can always give money away if it bothers you.

Rich but not filthy rich, just enough to live

I would hope to become rich in the sense that my life becomes more complete and in balance in all areas with great health, friends, family, career, and spirituality to prepare me for what comes after. Also, I would like to enrich my mind as best I can... Rich does mean financially well off but that is only part of living a rich life.

depends on what you mean by rich. is it materialistic?if then no one can get really rich. there is no end to want and greed. if you define rich as a happy productive life where all your needs are satisfied and you feel good to be alive every single day then i guess am the richest guy in the world.
