  1. Yep pull em up, get the whole root. It's a never ending struggle but it keeps your garden healthier.

  2. Yes. I keep an old s***w driver in my beds so I can push it down beside the weed and get the root out, then they don't grow back. They come out  easier after a good rain.

  3. The best way to get rid of weeds is to overplant your flower beds. I mean plant lots and lots of flowers and they will grow and cut off the light to the weeds which generally grow low to the ground. In early spring I spend a lot of time weeding but

by the beginning of summer I don't have nearly as much to

do because my garden is filled with plants and they shade off the weeds. another thing you can do if you don't want to go

that route is to get weed guard material. This is a type of

fabric that you can place around your plants and cover with

a think layer of soil. This completely blocks off the sunlight to the weeds and stops them from growing.

  4. Pull the weed out by its entire root if possible and if it hasn't seeded yet, plant it right back in the soil.  This way the dead weed is refeeding the soil it ate from.

  5. Yes, of course.  It's the only sensible way.

  6. Make sure you grab close to the ground and get as much of the root out as possible.

  7. Yes...get rid of weeds. If you hand weed regularly you will keep them under control. Mulch will also help. Don't let the weeds seed or spread. They steal water and nutrients from the plants you want and will eventually take over.

  8. Weeds are not just weeds, they are alive., and they are full of fun. Just when you think you have got rid of them all, well darn my socks another one pops up. They are also nocternal which means that they only come out at night. Now, there is a way to beat these cunning weeds, what you have to do is to take a week off work, this will enable you to carry out the required duties, which are, you must invest in a "Fly Swatter" you must then sit in the garden close to the flower bed, holding the swat above your head and stay very still.  Keeping a very close eye on the flower bed overall be ready to pounce as soon as a weed pops its head above the groung, whack it with your swatter. Now this may take a little time to perfect, say a week or two, but persevere and I assure you will be successful. good luck.
