Do you put quotations on band names

Absent some unusual reason (e.g., the name represents the entirety of a quote; the name is the title of something that does not normally stand by itself: a short story, a poem, a song, an article; or the name is used to indicate irony), the name of a band would NOT be placed in quotation marks.  

Although editors do not generally recommend doing so, you could place the name of the band in italics for emphasis.
