  1. Just Plait it ,,

White type is for higher levels ,,

if you need his mane for cross country go ahead and pull them out m,,

If it's a rated show You do NOT need to braid,,,  make sure his mane is pulled and is neat ,,

It sounds like your in Training level !!!!!!!

    No white type r

  2. No, the only time a horse needs to have his or her mane taped as well as braided is if he or she is being shown at 4th Level or above in dressage, or if the show is an international one, such as a CDI. For what you are planning to do, just braiding and banding will be more than enough- and make sure that the bands you use match or compliment what you're wearing and the color of your tack.

    Hope that helps.

  3. Starlight is correct, you do not need to tape your horses mane.  Simply braiding and banding it will be fine and it doesn't hurt to leave the braids in during the cross country and stadium jumping either, the only thing I would recommend is pulling out the four or five braids starting at his withers before you begin jumping.  This will give you something to grab if you need it and still keep your horse looking neat and orderly.

  4. No white type ,,

But YES,,, DO BRAID HIS MANE for Dressage !!

when you do cross country ,""No"" and when you do the jumper No ,,

But yes to be proper,, plait or what ever you want to call it.. braid,,, his mane ,

You will have to get used to it ,

, I feel as a Judge,,,,  if a rider does not,, he not really serious about the sport ,, Rated or not !

same as doing your best to win

If you feel like you can win!!, and this is not Just a schooling show!! yes do it !!!!!

But if your there just for experience , and really do not care about winning then no !!

    Get the point !!

Good luck , but always look good and look like a person who is serious about wining !!
