All this hype, and speculation, is he worth it?

and also is he a goof replacement for berbatov?

very good player for spurs but is definitely overrated overall, the euros has really hyped him up.

I know that he can play well and definitely can linked up well with the spurs team. However, to replace Berbatov would be a tough one.. one thing for sure though, he's definitely more handsome then Berba..

Who the h**l do Arshavin and co. think they are?  Barcelona offered, and you said no.  If a team like Barce wont splash the extra cash what makes you think Tottenham will?

I hope he stays in the Russian league and never comes to the EPL or La Liga.  He is only average/slight better anyway.  Much better players out there.

Nah, International football is all good and well.

You can have a good international season in as few as 3 or 4 games.

Can he perform weekly for a full season?

Its not that i dont rate him i think he is as unproven as the next player, I dont rate him yet.

He has a lot to prove.

He would be safer going to italy, i dont think he could step up to the english or spanish leagues.

Arshavin is just a one of tournament player. He is definitely not worth the hype. He does not play in a good league so you can't see how good he is.  If people were to buy players based on 1 or 2 good games then Michael Mifsud would have been the most wanted player in the world(He scored 2 goals past Man Utd)

i've only ever seen him once for zenit st petersburg and a few matches at the euro 2008 he appeared to be a fighter and a fair enough player, not unlike a certain andrei kanchelskis style.

He's a good player but I don't think he's worth the price tag Zenit have slapped on him.

As for replacing Berbatov...I'm not sure...most players need a season or two to adapt to playing in the premiership...as Tottenham want a top 4 finish I'm not sure whether it's worth splashing the cash for him as what they need is a goalscorer who has experienced the fast pace game before

not to be the most highest paid player ever in the premierleague!! he's good but i only heard off this guy through the euro's, watched him play a few times. i heard villa will be berbatovs replacement now that would be worth it.

Very talented player but just not consistent enough. We all know he has quality judging by the way he tore through Bayern Munich and Holland last season... But he's not really a replacement for Berbatov since Arshavin's more of an attacking midfielder than an out and out striker like Berbatov.
