  1. When I remember to use them

  2. yes but not at the supermarket use them in my bin.

it supermarket start charging for the carrier bags then yes i will re use them.

  3. I carry a foldaway bag I got at the Green Festival in my purse.  However, if I have a large haul, and I need another bag, I get plastic, and I use them for carrying my lunch to work, in my purse in case I need it for something else, and for cleaning the cat box.

  4. I reuse them as trash bags and i take them to stores so i can reuse them

  5. yes I always re-use them

  6. I try to avoid getting bags in the first place by using a sturdy fabric one. The carrier bags I DO get (when I forget to take my own, for example) are reused to complement my fabric bag and then used as rubbish bags...

Reduce the amount of bags you get

    Reuse the bags you've got

Recycle when you're done with them!!

  7. DON'T USE THEM

we brought some bags that can be used over & over again

  8. I reuse them either for shopping with or rubbish etc.

But i only use them if i have to.

Some places already charge which is a good idea because it makes people think and they dont use so many.

  9. I reuse them at home for garbage liners, a lunch bag for work, and cleaning the litter box. One of the local health food stores takes 5 cents off your total if you have your own bag. I would bring my own if the stores started charging, I sure have enough of them at home!

  10. In Ireland they've been charging for them for a few years so most folk use shopping bags or keep boxes in their car to transfer shopping to.Come on you lot, catch up!

  11. We have one of those plastic holders for the carrier bags.  We use them to carry shopping and then user them as bin bags and dog poo bags!  When on a walk we use one side as a water bowl for the dog.

  12. Yes. To put garbage in them. To wrap items in the freezer. To put garden rubbish in them. To wrap anything I am giving to my children, like a book I have finished with or something like that. Then I always take a couple with me in case I need one while I am shopping. Sometimes if I think, I give some to the Charity shops.

If the supermarkets start charging I will take my own means of bag.

  13. today in San Francisco there are no more plastic bags in large grocery stores.  I have always reused and recycled

  14. I don't use plastic bags!  I use my cloth bags.  I keep one in my handbag for when I visit the drug store, hard ware store, etc.  I totally embarrassed my hubby the other day at Lowe's.  I got some really strange looks when I unfolded my re-usable tote!  I love watching peoples reactions!  The only plastic bags I use are for trash.  Even then they are biodegradable.

  15. i wash mine out, reuse them to store jumpers in my wardrobe.

i use a travel bag to bring shopping home.

  16. Yes I take used bags to the supermarket to use again and I line my rubbish bins with them.

I should be glad to see them banned or a hefty charge for fresh bags.

  17. I reuse them as bin liners

  18. Most definitely !!! I have a bag full in my car, one for eventuality  of use in my handbag and another bag full in the kitchen cupboard to use for all sorts of things. I recently crochet a small bag out of various coulored plastic bag strips. For my first attempt - not bad.

  19. I bring my own canvas bags to the supermarket, and sometimes to other stores when I remember.

  20. We have a variety of bags for life and jute bags that we try and use whenever we go shopping.  My wife has a fold up bag she keeps in her handbag, just in case.

The problem is when shopping for clothes in town.  We try then to get items placed in our existing bags, to cut down on the number of bags we take home, but it's not always realistic.

Still we try and don't use the rubbish excuse that reusing is a hassle- it's not really or the excuse that because we're not going to reuse in every shop we might as well not bother at all.

  21. yes

  22. i work for a supermarket.

and i can say that most ppl have good intentions but forget to bring them in to use again!

i think with an extra push ppl would have to remember.

  23. I have my own reusable cloth bags.

They sell for less than a dollar, hold a lot more and I don't have to worry about them tearing.

  24. I re-use them as bin liners and for wrapping rubbish in. If my store charged for them I would use a shopping bag like my granny used to.

  25. yes we use our for the dog poo when we go out

  26. I have so many sport and tote bags I have started to use them for shopping, they have shoulder straps and are a lot easier to carry.  I use the smaller reusable bags or, God forbid, plastic bags for meat, juice, milk and frozen items that could drip or sweat.

  27. yes i do where i rememebr or i take canvas reusable bags. I am a recycling officer so I promote these sorts of things. I do forget just like anyone else but if there was a charge it might help me forget a little less often

  28. I take my own bag nowadays, its strronger and you get a green point at tescos, wipeeeeeee  :)

  29. We use canvas bags and any bags collected during the week are either given to the local health food store (as long as they have not had meat or fish in them), or charity shops; or used when cleaning cat litters! :)

  30. I always try to use them for as long as possible, but supermarkets are greedy and as long as they can make a quick penny or 2, then I will supply my own shopping bags
