  1. i start then stop it is too depressing

  2. yeah...I wish id kept mine...I read them a couple of yrs ago and I was amazed at how funny and witty I was, when at the time I felt like I was probably the least likeable person on earth. I always remember that....sadly, I dont know where they are now, probably under a big pile of stuff somehwere.

  3. I have a finished one and im almost done my second one. My first diary had some lame stuff lol but this one I got now is turning into a good story. I do feel stupid when i read my old diary. I actually had to scribble sentences and right better ones over them even though ur not supposed to. I was just afraid someone would find my journal and laugh at it.

  4. I recently read about 26 years worth and burnt them.  another story

  5. I have read them often, the first time I read them I had totally forgotten some of the things that happened to me. Every time I read them now they conjure up painful emotions so I have stopped reading them. I have never felt stupid though, all you are doing is recalling a part of your life that is written on paper.

  6. I kept journals when I was younger and yes, i do read them sometimes. it makes me laugh really. I don't think i was necessarily stupid but just the things I wrote were freakin' hilarious! Stuff about my elementary school crushes and who liked me and so on. oh yeah, they still make me laugh! Hey.. the writing a book on your life is a good idea! Good Luck with that!

  7. I write in 2 diaries. One for when i feel good, and one for when i feel bad. I do this because generally when i feel good i end up writin sumthin funny, bcoz i speek my mind nd babble. But when im sad or angry or even shocked i often write things i dont mean, or that r highly secret. When i finish my "bad" diary i read it, then burn it. Reading it makes then destroying it is a very physical way to take all my feels that caused me pain n get rid of them. Wer as with the happy diary i can remembr good times nd have a laugh reading it back. xx

  8. no, but i save all my old emails for memories sake, and when I read some of them I do feel stupid, partly because I know a lot more now than I did then. also it's really weird as life was so different back then and i would have known and talked to different people then. a diary is a great idea though.

  9. I took my father's advice when I was young and have never kept a diary. He always said that if your did not want to be incriminated never right anything down (such as a diary) that could prove your guilt. Lol

  10. yes. i feel like ripping up the pages because of the stupidity it contains. it just has so many irrelevant details... i quote;;

    "i was writing in this book and the man and the woman in the airport kept looking at me as a scribbled down random information from all about me.

  11. Wow, good idea about writing a book on your life. I thought about that too! I don't tend to read my diarys because I used them to vent and let out all my emotions rather than as a factual thing. When I have read them, it's so funny though, sometimes I feel nostalgic but it's not the same as when I actually wrote them. And sometimes I feel stupid, which is partly why I don't read them, but it felt so right writing them at the time! I would just go for it. If you're gonna write a story later in life, you should try to put lots of detail in, just little notes or doodles so it can jog your memory in the future :)

  12. yea and i threw it out..it was from 15 years ago!! LAME hahaha
