  1. it depends, it is obviously damaging the reputation of the eagles and setting a BAD example to the young players but if he can turn himself around and really change his habits and kick this thing in the back, then yea, he should be allowd to return but the small print on his contract wuld have to be extremely strict! now im a brizzy fanatic but even i dont want to see his talent on the feild wasted, but saying that he would need to be watched very closely

  2. um, if he went back to AFL i think hed most likely go to Collingwood because Mick Malthouse is besties with him.

  3. Maybe he could be a coaching consultant like Andrew Johns

  4. I think Ben's best chance at beating addiction is to remove himself from old situations, people and patterns.

So no I don't think he should play for the eagles. However, if he wants to and is still skillful enough to play AFL then he should be allowed. But maybe in a team in another state where he can start fresh.

  5. I am a dockers fan - so not bias here.

ben Cousins has never failed a drug test or been charged by the Police.

He should be allowed to play AFL - he is not the only player that has used drugs and unfortunately he wont be the last.

  6. they've already got rid of him, and they won't take him back, west coast eagles have tried to distance themselves from scandal (drugs, alcohol etc.) in getting rid of cousins, chick and gardiner.

  7. i am a mad eagles fan, but taking Cousins back puts us in the spotlight to much, it causes to many problems. and how do you know he wont take drugs again? i think its great he's fighting to get his life back on track and play AFL again but i dont think the eagles is his home anymore. if eagles were to take him back the AFL board wouldn't be impressed its to much of a risk.
