Everyone likes a bargain but would you buy it if you knew that the product was made by children in poor working conditions? Some peoples views is that its the way of the world! would it stop you buying it knowing these things?

  2. Is this Ethical Manor..a house of ill repute, by chance. Actually, I believe these children are feeding their families as well. Its better than starving, don't you think. If the governments won't provide education and welfare then these "victims" are intelligent enough to survive...why take it away from them even if powerful people make profits by them. So yes, I'd buy the bargains. Yesterday, I saw a collection of 100% cotton t-shirts (new product, for back to school) with printing on it selling for $3.00 USD. I had contemplated getting into this business (because I have expertise) at one time but wouldn't touch this competition. Sure enough, saved me from bankruptcy. Well, Walmart is making a profit. The middleman is making a profit, the overlord and manufacturer is making their share of the profits...and the children and families are eating...what's wrong with that.

  3. Britain, and many other country's as they were developing regularly and children working in huge cloth mills and places like that, they would sustain some horrendous injury's,  sometimes be killed, just because our country has developed more and has the economic wealth and power not to have children working, and has a good wage for people so they need there children working, and has laws in place now, doesn't mean that we can just demand the same off other country's that are still developing. maybe if it was cheaper to make things in our own country these things wouldn't happen.

  4. ...Depends whether the erhical manor is haunted or not...

  5. Can't say as I do.

But then I'm happy to exploit anybody for personal profit.

    It's called free enterprise.

  6. Yes it would make a difference in my purchases. I boycott several stores and shops that I feel obtain their products  unethically.

  7. Yeah it does bother me! I don't shop in primark i'm sure they use sweat shops & I love top-shop but when I heard the rumour that were using those type of bad conditions it did put me of going there. I wouldn't mind paying a bit more for my clothes if I had the reassurance that they weren't coming from sweat shops & by child labour!.

  8. Yes I do and I would stop buying them.
