Do you really get sick if you stay out in the rain or get wet from it?

Just a kiddie question but I am looking forward to a scientific answer.. thanks!

Getting wet from the rain does not make you sick.  It does reduce your ability to fight infections though.  Your body will use its resources to maintain your body temperature.  And, one way your body fights infection is through fever (difficult to do when you are having trouble just maintaining normal body temperature).  So, things that otherwise would be easily fought off get a chance to make you sick.  But, the rain itself doesn't make you sick.

well.. the chance to get sick is bigger than if you stay dry. It all depends on your body immunity. That's why, kids are more often sick if they are wet in the rain. At the worst condition they probably can get pneumonia.
